On June 15, 2024, LensCulture announced the winners of Critics’ Choice 2024. Twenty internationally recognized jurors each selected their top three entries from submissions spanning more than 140 countries, resulting in 44 winning photographers. Wei Jinchun was selected for Tangshan. The jury praised the series for its sensitive and thought-provoking exploration of grief, growth, and the self.
